How to Buy a Reliable Used Car

The auto gurus at conducted a study which effectively compared the cost of buying a new Honda model, leasing the same model, or purchasing a used older version of the model.
Not surprisingly, the total out-of-pocket cost for six years (which the study covered) was the lowest for the used car.
At Fiesta Motors of Lubbock, we found this to be consistent with our many valued customers. They have had great luck with the used cars they've purchased from us that were in our quality used inventory lot.
However, we have also encountered many skeptical people who believe that buying used isn't the most reliable way to go based on the fact that you can't count on the vehicles to stay on the road.
We don’t believe this is the case at all. There is one important tip we pass on to make the process of buying a used car better: Don't be afraid to look into the history of the vehicle you are interested in.
There are several ways to do this, whether it's ordering the car's title history, looking it up on Carfax or obtaining a car service history report.
It's best to know if the previous owner kept up with regular maintenance work such as oil changes, tire rotations, air filter replacements and the like. It's also important that you do the same when the car becomes yours.
